Historical customer programs

These archived examples show past offers, not current campaigns or measured growth results. Some older programs combined contests and milestones. Today, owners select Milestones or Leaderboard as their program format.

Choose a reward by budget and fulfillment effort

The ideas below are illustrative offers you can adapt. They are separate from the historical customer programs above and do not imply that Refer-O-Matic automatically creates or delivers the reward.

Reward ideaBudget and effortGood fit
Bonus audio or a behind-the-scenes episodeLow cost per recipient once produced; allow recording, editing, and access-delivery time.An early milestone for listeners who want more of the show.
Personal thank-you or optional on-air recognitionLow cash cost; ongoing host time. Ask before naming a listener publicly.A small community where personal recognition matters.
Digital companion guide or worksheetUpfront writing/design effort; check permissions and how recipients will get it.Educational or practical shows with a useful takeaway.
Signed poster, notebook, or show merchandiseProduction, packaging, stock, postage, and delivery administration.A higher milestone or a contest with a fixed prize budget.
Small-group Q&A or host callScheduling and host time; state group size and duration clearly.A limited number of leaderboard winners, or a milestone you can fulfill at scale.

Build an offer listeners can repeat

For an ongoing program, an example ladder could be three referrals for bonus audio, ten for a signed poster, and 25 for a group Q&A. Those thresholds are starting ideas, not proven conversion targets. Budget for everyone who qualifies and for all tiers each person may earn.

For a leaderboard, an example offer is a host call for the top three ambassadors by a stated deadline. Reserve three slots, explain what the call includes, and plan how you will contact the winners. Compare milestones and leaderboards before deciding.

Check the cost of keeping your promise

A $10 item is not a $10 reward if it also costs money to pack and ship. Digital rewards still take production and support time. Write down the full cost per recipient, then estimate the total at several participation levels. Use the worked examples in the launch playbook’s reward budget.

Be specific about delivery: “a signed A3 poster sent within four weeks” is easier to evaluate than “exclusive merch.” Promise only the delivery window and regions you can support.
